The historic town of Young is known as Australia\u2019s cherry capital. It is nestled in the rolling hills at the foot of the Great Dividing Range, in the Hilltops area. Young offers orchards, festivals, food & wine<\/a>, heritage and outdoor experiences against\u00a0a charming\u00a0rural backdrop.<\/p>

Once known as Lambing Flat because the area was reserved for lambing ewes, Young has a rich\u00a0history of goldmining and bushranging. Follow the\u00a0heritage trail to see historic sites around town, including the Chinese Tribute Gardens and Lambing Flat Folk Museum.<\/p>

A yearly highlight is the\u00a0National Cherry Festival<\/a>, usually held during the first weekend in December,\u00a0when\u00a0thousands of visitors come to Young for a wonderful celebration of all our town has to offer.\u00a0From mid-November to Christmas, you can find\u00a0cherries and other stone fruits at Young\u2019s many orchards\u00a0\u2013 often you can pick your own!<\/p>

There are many other excellent events throughout the year, including the Lambing Flat Festival and the Young Annual Show. \u00a0Young\u2019s convenient location also means it\u2019s the perfect spot from which to explore the\u00a0wider Young area \u2013 visit\u00a0the Young Tourist Information Centre<\/a> for up-to-date information on events & attractions.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
